TEMPUR-Ergo® Smart Bases

After suffering an injury that left me with two herniated discs at L4 and L5, my life changed overnight. For more than a month, I barely slept. Every morning I woke up with severe pain radiating down my right leg, and there were days when moving that leg felt almost impossible. When I purchased my Tempur-Pedic LuxeAdapt Firm Split King, I also decided to invest in the TEMPUR-Ergo Smart Split Base. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. From the very first night, the ability to adjust my sleeping position made an incredible difference. By elevating my head and legs, I was finally able to find a position that relieved pressure on my lower back. For the first time in over a month, I slept through the night without waking up in pain. The next morning was something I will never forget. I got out of bed without the sharp pain shooting down my right leg. I was able to walk more comfortably and move with greater confidence. It felt like my body had finally been given the support it needed to begin healing. What impressed me most about the Ergo Smart Split Base was how customizable it is. It allowed me to make small adjustments throughout my recovery, helping me stay comfortable when lying flat was almost unbearable. We had a ~2018 Tempur-Pedic base that we really liked, but this 2025 Ergo ProSmart is much better! We love that they considered lumbar, zero gravity, TV, and sleep positions, as well as Bluetooth speaker. The affixed mattress holder is great too. My previous model did not have that so the holder would slide all over the place, so we stopped using it. I really cannot think of anything else they could do with this base to make it better, but I just got it, so we'll see. I think this is really going to help my back and my sleep!

We use this with our Split King Tempurpedic mattresses. They are so handy if you are sick or hurt and very comfortable for reading, working on a laptop, and watching tv. Easy to use and comes with three different options of leg heights.

We bought split king (two twin XL) Tempurpedic mattresses to put on two Ease adjustable bases. Lots of great positions for reading, laptop work, watching tv, and sleeping. We love the bases. They are so helpful if you have a bad back. They can be raised to help make it easier to get out of bed. It's also nicer to sleep elevated when sick with a cold or the flu. The bases work great and are very handy for older people in a variety of ways.

I'm a big fan of the lumbar support. It's one of those features that if you need it it's a blessing, and if you don't well the rest of the adjustments are just as good. Frame is solid and sturdy, I haven't felt like it wobbles or shakes as I move around, even when placed in more upright positions. Plus there's no AI anything which really, if we're honest, why does your bedframe need AI?

I used to buy memory foam for queen size bed and foam memory wedge for my stomach issues every one to two years. After using these products for approximately 1 month, the power base and soft adapt queen bed was the best purchase I made in 40 years.
